Potassium-sodium-hydrogen citrate

  • For dissolution of uric acid stones
  • For metaphylaxis (Prevention of re-formation) of calcium and uric acid stones or mixed stones of calcium oxalate/uric acid or calcium oxalate/calcium phosphate.

1. The dissolution and metaphylaxis of uric acid stones:

In general, take 4 measuring spoons (By filling the spoon till the mark of 2.5 giving 10 g of granulate corresponding to 88 mmol of alkali) daily in 3 single doses after meals:

Morning and noon each 1 measuring spoon and in the evening two measuring spoons.

2. Metaphylaxis of calcium containing kidney stones:

The daily dose is 2-3 measuring spoonful and should be taken as a single evening dose.

When prescribing low sodium diet, it should be noted that 1 g contains 0.1 g or 4.4 mmol sodium

Co-administration of citrate and aluminum-containing substances can lead to increased aluminum absorption.

A carton box containing (Plastic container 280 gm granules + measuring spoon 2.5 gm + 100 indicator paper strips + test chart + peg) and an inner leaflet.

Store at temperature not exceeding 30 °C, in a dry place, Keep out of reach of children.
